i agree with noslave. check your local records. it sounds rather serious to me..but whether its a fear tactic or not..who knows. cap1 has had mine 18 months since CO..CA to CA..so far thats all. that is a very new debt..my guess is they can prove it but whether they would or not..again, who knows. its a crapshoot. be cautious..be ready...check the courthouse for past cases...good luck! i hate cap1 with a passion. they must think you have something to take...make sure of your exemptions. you asked them for validation? oh man...i wouldnt do that. none of mine..knock wood..have went to a lawyer. so they must think you have something to take.
