hi there, i did what you said to last year and finally ended up with a lawyer. they are playing games now for sure, i have had to go to three pre-trials thus far and have another comming up on the 2nd of sept. everytime i have to spend more money for my lawers time and it seems i am getting no where. they have changed lawyers several times and use it as an excuse for the paperwork not being in order. they have yet to show us (as per our request) any statements at all. i have spent 2500 so far over a 2000 dollar suit just to clear my name. i am tiered and frustrated and would appreciate advice. they state that they recieved the card account (last used in 1996, i currently live in ohio, but spent the moneys in florida back then, paid off in full the same year). i tried to get ahold of past bank records and checks from then, but they stated that they dont keep records for that long. i guess the question should be if they dig something up with a charge-how can i dispute it if i have no proof left of my own? thank you much! sunny
