weird lettre from cap 1

Hi folks...I have a cap1 acct that charged off 2 years ago...was being handled by NCO...I wrote a CMRRR lettre to NCO saying I would rather deal directly with cap1...havent heard anything from NCO for a while...Today I received a lettre from Cap1 thanking me for my 'inquiry.'
Problem is I havent contacted Cap 1 yet...this is weird....should I be afraid? Is this a pre-suit tactic on their part?
