I find it most helpful to read court cases - if you are going to read cases, just make sure that you go to the courthouse that has the files you want to read.

The only problem with reading on line is that you usually only get the pleadings, not the complete text. If you get the file, you can read everything in it - might get some ideas. However, if you do read on line, that might give you a hint of what you want to read in the courthouse.

Another perk of going to the courthouse is that you might get to speak to someone who handles your type of case- lawyers love to talk and most people don't want to listen to them.
