If you have no job and no assets, it's possible that the judgment may stand and the CA may wait until you *have* a job or assets to attach. Just because there is a judgment does not mean that the judgment holder can collect. If, after a specified period of time (depends on your state), the judgment may become uncollectible if the judgment is not renewed. There is a separate SOL for judgments.

If you *do* have a job and assets, the judgment holder can ask for an order requiring you to reveal those assets. Once they know what you have, they may then garnish wages, accounts, etc..

It really depends, though, on how much you have and whether it is worth it to them to attach your assets. Forcing the sale of cars or homes is usually cost-prohibitive, if not impossible due to state exemptions.
