I do believe unless you are current on your payments, they can repo. You can send them $20 and they accept it, but it doesn't bring it up to date. So, repo. I know that probably isn't what you wanted to hear, sorry. If it helps, my sister deals is a loan officer in a credit union and she said the less value a car that is up for repo has, the longer they wait to get it. I can't say that this is for all companies though. Maybe try talking to the bank and see if you can work something out. Here is Why Chat's site, it has some things about repo in it.
