In FL, for example, the Florida "Killing Fields" Small Shams Court takes about five weeks from hideous mass-arraignment in Judge Pazzi's chamber of horrors to trial. In theory. Fight the chicken-sxxx bums, and they may go away permanently.

With civil cases, for amounts larger than those meeting 'small claims' criteria, again, by answering the suit, you've thrown a punch back at the lazy slugs. You've automatically denied them that which they live for, a default judgement. You've answered, thus let them know you know your rights and will fight to defend them.

You've forced them to spend time and money proving their putrescent case. They don't like to work. They like to sit on the beach, on one of those 'rubber tube hemhorroid cushions', for trauma to sensitive areas, right, Hughie? They like to sit on Palm Beach, have Kabana Boy bring another Shirley Temple & Crack, while a local lickspittle wiseguy stooge-lawyer terrorizes citizens into giving up money they don't legally owe. Isn't that right, Mr. Slimon? Hey, Dave, how come your card says you work for a prestigious lawyer, yet when I sent him a CRRS letter of inquiry, he denied knowing you? You fake, phony, fraud, sham. Yeah, I've a rather long memory, I'm afraid. Good for me. Too bad for you and Kabana-Pooey-Hughie. I digress.

You've answered the suit. Now comes the possibly long, agonizing, wait. Yes, I know. I've experienced this awful sword of Damocles hanging above one's head. Take comfort in knowing that as with juries, the longer the delay, the more likely it is the sleazoids have lost interest in you, instead going after easy targets. Their favorite kind. Just like bullies, they are. Except bullies have more intrinsic decency.

Intrinsically,
