Question about SOL

I aheva question about SOL... I don't really understand what it means... Can someone explain it to me? For example, I have a Discover Card that is charged off and the last time I made a payment was on 04/2000.. I am in Texas so I believe it is four years... Does that mean that they can't sue me? Let me know what SOL means..
