Wait a minute, its not JUST 7 years. The reporting period is 7 years PLUS 180 days from the first delinqency that led to the charge-off. If the last payment was in Jan 97, it should have charged-off by the end of July 97. That would make the drop-off date the end of July 2004. This is August, if its still not gone in Sept, dispute it as obsolete.
