"It might work. They'll probably claim that their reporting agreements with the credit bureaus prevent them from making deals like that, but when they see you're serious they may very well relent. Just make sure that you get the deletion agreement in writing before you pay anything!"

Thanks, Peter. I appreciate your input. You're right, I would definitely get it in writing. My biggest problem right now is getting past the low-level employees to someone who can make a difference. Thanks again.
