yes, you can even do it online!
You can also get good deals on services to monitor your credit files...

Equifax:
https://www.econsumer.equifax.com/webapp/ConsumerProducts/pgConsumerProducts?start=&orderSource=ECW&productId=3

https://www.privista.com/cp/v3_jump.jsp

Experian
https://www.creditexpert.com/creditexpert/creditmanager/CE_Home
http://www.experian.com/

Trans Union
http://www.worthknowing.com
http://www.tuc.com/

Some of these are free, or offer 30 day trial periods, and even the ones without tiral periods will generally refund your money if it isn't what you thought it was. Also, if you have been turned down for credit or employment, your report is free.

First order your report, then dispute the items that are incorrect. You need the numbers they give you to dispute, so save or print your stuff.

Good luck.

Linda
