Does anyone know the Statute of Limitations for the state of Tennessee? In 1994, I had a car that was repo'ed. The loan officer informed me that if the car was resold, I would only be liable for the balance. I was willing to pay this, but never heard anything. Since then, the company has been taken over by a new group of people with all new employees. Now, 7 years later, I am being SUED? I feel after these 7 years, it should be taken off my credit report, and I should not be liable. I don't know what to do. Please HELP!!! By the way, I am being sued for $2800.00. The car was only purchased for $2,450. What choices do I have??
