Sorry to hear about your health problems. Credit card debt is unscured debt. They can't take your house. They can't take your income either. The same advice I gave that other person applies to you.

Take it easy. When you send your "cease communications" letter, tell them you are on disability, that is your only income, and that you have nothing they can take. They will go away. I doubt they will even try to get a judgment against you. They will go after someone with a paycheck they can garnish.

You don't have to talk to them on the phone. Get yourself a machine and screen your calls if they are calling you.

Hang in there. It won't last forever.
