What do you have to prove that you have paid this? did they send you letters or statements showing the amounts due and amounts paid, or was this a one-time thing to get the mortgage through? It sounds like you did everything over the phone and don't have any written proof if they don't send you a letter saying it is paid. Do you have a mortgage broker you can talk to? Maybe he/she can get it out of them. There are other things you can do but they take time, like filing suit, and calling your state's attorney general. Linda
