well i've been unemployed for a year and now am $47k in cc debt and have just gone thru 3rd cycle of nonpayments. thank heavens for answering machines.

well i will find out tomorrow if i get this $13/hr data entry job. right now i am sure you can imagine my state of mind.

what if i don't do anything? i have a separate mailing address. i rent. in california. also if i dont' get this job i may just give my last month's rent notice and drive back to florida. if i can get there on $1k.
the only thing i can try to keep paying is the car and insurance. if i turn my back on the rest what can happen?

was thinking of this:
mail a letter to all CCs letting them know i have been unemployed, may be getting a $13/hr job and there is just no way i can meet any payments at this time. also ask them to contact me by mail in the future.

any leads on ch7 lawyers in the greater san diego area?
i've looked in the book but a referral is always better. one guy emailed me and his fee was $700 - that is way too much from what i understand.
a site of someone in the area says he charges $250 per six creditors.

any insights, advice etc... greatly appreciated.
