Well still no settlement letters or summons. No phone calls and no further demand letters.

I did ask for validation. Sent out the two page extensive validation request as per BH.

Found out they are in violation of the FTC on the one conversation I did have with them.

Once SOL is up I think I will sue. I am really tired of the harrassment and all the stress this has caused me.

Was told by BH's that they would use all of the thirty days to answer the validation letter if they ever did. Also told a limited c and d went out so they won't call me at work anymore.

Been checking the county court system and nothing filed yet.

Researched the attorney and learned he does not live in my county but does practice law in my county. Files in mass and comes into town a couple days a month. ONly in civil court. Here in my county must be over 2500 for civil court. 2500 for small claims civil court. My debt was 700,inflated to 2200. I figure they could inflate it more if they want to bump it up. But so far nothing. This attorney mostly goes after defaulted car loans. Some midland accounts. Lot of recovery asset accounts. He has only filed once for the CA that has my account. That was a month ago. Maybe a new client?

As before no assest. A job but head of household. California allows for wage garnishment. Only thing I have of value to them is a paycheck. But they also allow for the neccessities of life exemptions. Checked IRS and found that in the end they would probably get about 70 dollars a month or less with garnishment.

Was advised to get a PO box and change my phone number. Also change my bank account. I closed my savings today. Not hard to do as it had 20 dollars in it! LOL. Also through my work I get my DMV records made confidential so I am gonna do that as well. To be honest with the kind of work I do I need an unlisted phone number and PO box anyway. I was suppose to get it done a year ago. Not I have two reasons to do it. And I opted out. I need to opt out of telemarkets now and I should be set.

I still think I will get sued but I also think I have a good chance of winning because I will answer and I will be there. No defaults. I work in the Court system so at least I won't be indimadated by the process, just the threat of a judgement. I think with advice from this board I will be ok.

Can't figure out why they chose my account to send to the attorneys. No assets, bad credit report and a relatively low debt amount. It can't be worth their time.

Thanks all for the help,
