hired a BK lawyer

Well, I sent my first payment to the lawyer today and hopefully the rest will move fairly quickly. Couple of questions for those of you have gone though this. Do you need to prove expenses? For instance, if I say I spend $600 on food do I need to save all receipts from the grocery store? Same for clothes and other stuff. Just curious as I begin this whole process.
