Is it even legal to threaten garnishment before you have a judgement? I have talked with some consumer attorneys and I really don't think that it is legal. They can't threaten unless the judgement is in hand. Also a garnishment has to be filed and served through the sheriffs or LE on your place of employment and only after they have a judgement.

Check withsomeone like Why Chat or JKelly or Lady. But it is my understanding that this is not legal. I think they are scaring you.

Also are they suppose to be talking with your employers isn't that third party disclosure.

There are some really good consumer law attorneys in the LA area and if you look into their websites it gives you some of the everyday violations that these CA violate everyday.

I will try to get the website I looked into.

Hange in there.
