You can not reasonably expect to refuse arbitration on one hand, and obtain arbitration on the other.

For any arbitration "award" to be valid it must be mutually agreed to, or at least had notices sent.

I THINK you got scammed by some "so-called" arbitration service in NY.

And, no, because a bank has hired a lawyer to pursue a claim in Court, it does NOT mean the account has been "SOLD" to that lawyer.In fact, just the opposite, the lawyer has filed suit on behalf of HIS client, the bank.

Most likely, your original cease and desist prevented the bank OR the lawyer from contacting you in any other way than filing a lawsuit against you.
