Once the accout is charged off and SOLD, you can not pay the original creditor. It can be charged off and assigned, and can go back to the original creditor. Once the account is sold to a CA, the best thing to do is to PROTECT ASSETS. Let the SOL run and ignore attempted communication with CAs. If they sue, make they prove every penny, if they win file bk.
