The last payment I made was to CCCS in Febuary of 2001. I was dropped from the CCCS program in June because I was unable to make payments in april or may because I had to move and pay first and last months rent in my new apartment. Now I am trying to work with a credit negotiator to settle the accounts I had with CCCS. The lawyer I first mentioned is the only creditor so far calling on a daily basis. I don't answer or return their calls and they have seem to have stopped. I don't know how long it would take them for a judgement or if they would go this route. The original cerditor shows up on my credit report as a charge off and my credit is already ruined. I don't know what the benefit to paying off something not on my credit report is unless they offer to not report it. The credit limit on the card was only 900.00. Now with late fees, interest, overlimit fees and so on, they claim it is 1800.
