Responsibility of a credit card debt?

My mother passed away last spring. She did not leave an estate. She had balances on three separate credit cards. On one credit card, I am an authorized user. I have been paying the monthly bill since her death. Now the card issuer has raised the interest rate by 4.7%. The reason being that they say my mother has not honored her agreement with them, because she is not paying the other two card balances. I assume they found this out from my mother's credit report.
My questions are:
As an authorized user, am I responsible for this debt?
If I don't continue to pay, will my credit report be jeopardized?
Since I have paid the monthly bill since my mother's death, does this mean I have taken on the reponsibility
of this debt?
Any information would be most helpful and I thank you in advance.
