I'm looking for some advice here please.
About 6 years ago I was in a bad relationship and my ex run up some of my credit cards before we broke up.
Due to some unforunate events, I could not keep up on the payments and by the time I could start paying again, they were out of hand and I could not afford to anymore.
Long story short.
Just the other day a creditor called me with threats of taking me to court or garnishing my wages if I do not pay them.
What are my rights being a Florida resident concerning this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
