NO, don't pay. That's ridiculous. You don't need to file bankruptcy either. If it's past the SOL, send them a letter telling them to get lost, don't contact you anymore. Then dispute this with the credit bureaus. It will drop off your report in 2 more years. Bk will stay on for 10. And you might get it deleted before that if you keep disputing it. Linda
