I have recently received a copy of my credit report and upon investigation, several debts that are 7+ years old appear on my credit report, masked by the name of a collection agency. In many cases, after the first collection agency, couldn't collect, they sold it to another and so on. The problem is, I have several derrogatory entries on my report for a debt that has exceeded the 7 year mark. Is this legal? What is my recourse and what can I do? Please help..... Thank you.
