There isn't much you can do about the garnishment that exists without a lawyer. Do you have other creditors who have gotten judgments and are waiting in line to garnish that check?

My guess is that when you were served with the "warrant in debt" you did not go to court, probably out of embarrassment and fear, but that is the worst thing you can do because you automatically lose.

There aren't but so many options after a judgment has been granted and there is a paycheck to garnish. You can run, but with kids that is difficult. Your husband can change jobs, but they will find him eventually. He would have to keep changing and changing.

Maybe someone else has some ideas.
