Bankruptcy Costs

I was just wondering what a reasonable fee is to pay a lawyer when filing bankruptcy. I'm in Southern Ohio and the cheapest I've found so far is a $500 fee + the $200 filing fee. Some people at work have said I could find someone to do it for free but that seems to be a very hard task thus far. Any suggestions? I'm trying to research but at the same time I want to get it over with and not really deal too much with it myself. However, I don't want to pass something up that could've saved me $500 or a few hundred dollars. Thanks.
