Father's info on credit report

I am continuously having my father's credit items placed on my credit report, including his bankruptcy claim. I am hoping to move into an apartment in March and am worried about possibly being denied due to this. I don't have the best credit myself, but am less concerned about my information than my father's. Does anyone know the best (or quickest) way to have this resolved? Also, how strict are apartment complexes when reviewing credit reports? Thanks.
