Dispute it with the credit bureaus as "out of date." It should come off. If a collection agency puts it back on they are reaging it, and that is illegal.
It is past the SOL. Send the collection agency a "cease communications" letter. If anyone tries to sue you (I doubt it) just show up and tell the judge how old this debt is, and it will be dismissed.
