Judgments that have been paid stay on your report for 7 yrs from the date filed. If you qualify for a mortgage except for the judgment, a good mortgage broker can set it up for you - you pay it off at your closing. Once it shows that it's "paid" (make sure you follow up on that), as it ages, it will have less and less effect on your credit.
