You've got a good point. I can go on and on about doctors but I won't.... it would last for days and not much of it would be good. The lawyers I have seen haven't been the brightest in the bunch which of course reminded me of the doctors I've met.
As for what you refer to as a 'perfected deed,' wouldn't this have to be filed with the county and then they would in turn report it to the association where I live? The lawyer I saw seemed to think that the fact that it was homesteaded in my name, that would raise a conflict... Sorry for my ignorance but what is a life estate and would it help to get one in this case. I know any change would put off bankrutpcy filing for a year so as not to raise red flags, but I guess you can hold off the credit vultures as long as you give them your lawyer's name and that you're filing bankruptcy.
