You've got a good point. I can go on and on about doctors but I won't.... it would last for days and not much of it would be good. The lawyers I have seen haven't been the brightest in the bunch which of course reminded me of the doctors I've met.
As for what you refer to as a 'perfected deed,' wouldn't this have to be filed with the county and then they would in turn report it to the association where I live? The lawyer I saw seemed to think that the fact that it was homesteaded in my name, that would raise a conflict... Sorry for my ignorance but what is a life estate and would it help to get one in this case. I know any change would put off bankrutpcy filing for a year so as not to raise red flags, but I guess you can hold off the credit vultures as long as you give them your lawyer's name and that you're filing bankruptcy. More help please and thanks for all that you've sent.
