Send them a validation,dispute and cease and desist letter. They are in violation of the FDCPA and subject to penalties for their illegal actions. There is NO WAY that they can illegally "update" your account. They probably cannot even validate the information they have.Don't worry, just make sure you follow the directions about dispute and validation,don't sign your name,don't give them any information,don't talk to them on the phone, send your letter RRR.Let us know if you need any other help.
