I have been recieved two phone calls from a collection agency (both went unanswered), the last one coming earlier this morning. I called them back about a half hour later and learned that they intend to attempt to get the court to pass judgement on my 4000 delenquency today (they bought the debt from my original credit card company). I also found out that they also called my dad (im 22) and told him about the whole thing, who they are, the amount of the debt adn the fact that they intend to pass judgement today.

What I want to know is is this legal? Are they allowed to call my father about this? They have also called my mom (who has an unlisted # btw, I haven't a clue how they got it), but didn't go into specifics with her. The call to my mom was made a week ago.

I have recieved a total of two phone calls from them and they already intend to take me to court, i find this a little odd, dont you? Is this legal?

Please help!
