they purchased my charged off account from 10 years ago...

I got some letters and a phone call at work from this place called Capital Acquisition and Management. I guess they purchased a charged off credit card account of mine from 1992...10 years ago. The statute of limitations for a lawsuit in my state is 4 years. However, they told me that they have every legal right to sue me in court and to repost this debt to my credit file because they had bought it. Is this right? Is it legal for them to repost this debt that was already reported for its seven year time frame before? Any advice would be great.
