Well, they are telling me the last payment on the acct was 02/01, which is correct based on the credit report. (I can't say that that is not where they got their info, if they are not working for Circuit City.) I know that we cought it up a few times, so I am pretty sure that the SOL is not up. Looking at the credit report, it only shows the last activity as 02/01. It doesn't give a payment history. I will send the C/D validation letter and see what happens. I'll check back. Since it appears they are a collection agency after all, what is required for them to "file" in Georgia. Is it just a matter of them sending the info to the courthouse, or do they have to have license in GA or legal representation to "sponsor" them so to say? Sorry about the lingo, I need to beef up on my legal terms. Thanks for all your help.
