Contacted by CA for the 1st time

After not paying on one of my Citibank CCs for 5/6 months, I just received a letter from a CA saying they just took over the collection process. What should I do or expect soon? Actually I just sent a payment to Citibank not knowing they have sent my account to the CA. They haven't cashed it so I called the bank to stop that payment.
I have 3 Citibank CCs w/ a total debt of $33000. The other 2 were also late(1 is 2 mos late, the other is 4 mos late but I just made a $250 payment). My question is should I continue to send payment to the other 2 accounts? I do have other CCs and total debt is $70000. I don't have any properties, only a car worth about $10000(hope they won't find out). I don't want to file BK. I just want to ignore them and hope they won't sue and go away. Is this possible?
