buddy, get your money out of the bank NOW,, this is the same game that was played on my sister,, NY is good as far as paid collections/chargeoffs/judgments coming off Credit reports in 5 yrs,, but horrible, in that NY allows service to be done thru normal class A mail,,, and its their responsiblity to put in the mail, NOT for you to receive it, and the Post date isnt a defense,, its 30 days after the filing, not when you got it in the normal mail,, terrible hun,,,,,, Midland credit managment/discover did the same thing to my sis, they wait till the 30 days is up, and send the letter,, then immediately take your bank accts,, my sister had her acct wiped out, and then got the summons in the mail, 2 days after the 30days,,, she got a lawyer, and all,,,, and the court was like, sorry, postdate on the letter is not counted,,,,, its 30 days from filing,,,
