You NEVER deal with ca's by phone.ALWAYS in writing, rrr. To get duplicate entries off your reports -you need to dispute it first with the CRA's as "duplicate" The OC and 1 CA entry is legal as long as only one shows a balance. If it has been paid, then only one should show,the ca that you paid, it will post as a ca account 0 balance.If you "settled" for less than the full amount, with an agreement to delete, then you possibly would still have 3 legal entries, the OC charged off 0 balance, the "settled" ca- 0 balance, and the ca they sold the balance to, showing it as a collection item for that amount.
