If you are getting your mail out of the Country, you are in a difficult position to have any leverage i.e. "threatening lawsuits" etc.In my OPINION,your best bet at this point is to follow Linda's advice, AND send copies to the OC with a covering letter describing the FTC rulings on OC's being held responsible for their "agents" misrepresentations and violations of the FDCPA &FCRA.You can add the phrase "continued non-reporting and lack of correction of incorrect information supplied by your agents, even on a sold account,is a violation of the FCRA"
By the way, Christine, I am from Bangor, and I think you husband just lucked out on his Maine reports, as there is NO such restriction on CA's reporting on Maine residents,(I still have family in Bangor, so I KNOW)
