If you are figuring the value of assets, you figure the wholesale value, that is what they might bring at a sheriff's sale,not their replacement cost or even current retail on used items.Plus, do you have a crystal ball? Are you SO sure that some illness or other problem won't cut your income or increase your expnses in the next 3 years? If all you have in non-exempt assets is 10G's even if it is cash, that is NOT enough of an emergency fund.
