If the judgment is 12 years old, then the judgment creditor may be unable to collect on it, depending upon the state in which you live. Generally, a judgment lien cannot be placed against your property 10 years after the judgment, although other means of enforcing the judgment may apply.

It might be worth paying an attorney a few hundred dollars to look into it.

If you really want ot just pay it, contact the Clerk of Court's office for that court and ask what to do. They should be able to tell you. Generally speaking, you will probably be paying the court directly.
