NEXTCARD/NEXTBANK

Hi!
I had/have a credit card wellllllll........NEXTBANK went belly-up......I received a letter from the FDIC explaining they closed my account and to date no other bank has bought it...I know this may sound far fetched but...do you think that just maybe, they would let me pay a percentage of my NEXTCARD balance as payment in full, instead of having to wait for me to keep making monthly payments? I owe them 6000........and by making payments that'll take a long time to pay off.....think they might settle for a part of that, afterall it was the BANK who failed me....My credit with them is EXcellent! :)
