Deliquent Credit Mark on my credit

I'v had a deliquent credit Mark put on my credit report due to a a morgage payment being late two or three months. I'm current now on my payments. Does anyone know how long it will take for this mark to be removed, or is there any action I can take for it to be removed? Please help!!!!!!
