I've been fighting Experian since April 02. 4 times I've disputed their reporting of a Stundent loan that went delinquent in 99'. When a Federal student loan goes delinquent, it's turned over to the Dept. of Education for collections. I paid the Govt. the full amount plus interest. I have a letter from the Dept of Ed. stating that I've paid in full and that no student loans are delinquent. I have a letter from the school in question stating that the loan was turned over to the Dept of Ed.
Experian is showing the account in question as open and unpaid. Experian states that they are simply stating what the school lists via electronic tape reporting. I've had the Dept of Ed and the school on a conference call. The school states that they are reporting the account as closed and a balance of zero in their books.
I've sent Experian the letter from the school and the letter from the dept of Ed. Their last response was that the information submitted was insufficent. Experian will not confrence call with these parties.
What should I do?
