SUE the HELL out of them for what they did to your daughter. For the violations of the FDCPA(threats, swearing, trying to collect on a SOL debt, etc.). There is no way a judge won't rule in your favor. Get a recorder for your phone, too. If you can find a lawyer to take your case on a contignecy basis(or if you can afford one), and have him/her file it in Federal Court. You probably won't see the inside of a courtroom on what they did to your daughter alone. They would not want her to have to take the stand. Meanwhile, filing complaints with the BBB, FTC(IMMEDIATELY) and your state Attorney General(theirs, too).
