If she got the car at a decent rate and has had it for a while, she can probably sell it for enough to at least pay off the loan. If she can drive an automatic, she can probably trade it in at any point.

My Mom bought a car a little over a year ago, and then decided not to drive anymore because of vision problems. I plan to take over her payments and am trying to sell mine (only a few more months on my loan). Once mine is sold I will contact her lender and make the appropriate arrangements.

Maybe someone else has some ideas on this.

If she needs special equipment, there is money available in the form of grants etc. Perhpas someone has the details. I just know it is available, have never had experience with it.
