Thanks for your help on this. I think I will check public records here and where I used to live to see and make sure...it has been AWFUL quiet since that last phone call...I do have a postal forwarding order, which is how I got this notice in the first place.

Two questions from my original post I am hoping someone can answer for me pretty please with a cherry on top:

"Second, re the inquiry threat: someone had posted that the FTC ruled this constitutes "collection activity"; can somebody please give a link to that release or more info re this?

Third, I've been told that calls to cell phones count under FDCPA count as a call that costs me money--anyone know where that was decided?"

Also, wondering if there is any weight to my testimony that "this is what they threatened" when honestly, I don't think they are going to call again necessarily, so it may be moot how I "capture" the threats. I think they're too busy trying to line their non-existent ducks up for a sneaky lawsuit against me, to be filed somewhere in Lichtenstein!
