I have 3 judgements filed by DMV here in NJ for failure to pay DMV surcharges. I lived in another state when the judgements were filed and was not served. Unfortunately DMV also suspended my license. When I returned to NJ inorder to restore my driving priveleges I had to make payments on the surcharges/judgements. I have paid off two of them and am currently paying on the third. I challenged the unpaid judgements on my Credit reports and they came back updated to a satisfied rating. I have only recently become aware of the fact that I could have tried to have the judgements vacated. I hope to buy a house next year and need to clear up my credit. Is there any thing I can do to remove the judgements from my credit reports or get them vacated?
