When disputing with CRA does

the account still show to potential creditors? I disputed 2 items on hubbys cr. 1 Sears and 1 RMA (online). It shows online as disputed (eq.) but waited a couple days, applied to Citi and was turned down because of these accounts! So now I'm confused.
