Another good reason why all "contributions" should be totally anonymous. It's really a sad state of affairs that the credit industry can BUY the laws they want by bribing....errr, sorry....making "contributions" to politicians. I always though these politicians were supposed to represent the people as well, not big business. You're right, it is a joke....a big, sad joke that those voted into office to represent the best interests of the citizens of this country can be bought off by big business offering a smile and briefcase full of cash.

It isn't the bankruptcy laws that need to be rehauled, it's the credit and banking industries and the collection agencies that need to be reigned in, rehauled, and kept under control. The CC companies have brought a lot of their problems on themselves...not willing to work with people having problems, increasing interest rates and minimum payments on people who are already struggling to make those minimum payments. Does it really make sense to see someone may be having some (or had in the past) financial difficulties and make it MORE difficult for them to pay? They're the ones that push a lot of people into default and/or bankruptcy and then have the damn nerve to whine and cry about it. It's time the CC companies take some responsibility for their actions that result in these problems.
